Woodcock Farm’s self catering holiday cottages are situated right on the famous Snake Pass (A57), and ideally located for exploration of the Peak District National Park, as well as use of numerous nearby amenities and attractions. We are remote enough to feel like a peaceful escape, whilst still being within walking distance of pubs, shops and the vibrant main high street of Glossop, with its many cafes, restaurants and bars.

The cottages themselves have breath-taking, undisturbed views over Glossop Golf Club and the rolling hills of the Peak District beyond. There are outdoor sitting areas and barbeque facilities available for unwinding in the sun, and plenty of games and books to keep you entertained in the cooler months. Both cottages have a stunning double height glazed entryway to allow those gorgeous views inside whatever the weather. If the luxury accommodation wasn’t enough – there are many excellent walking routes right from your door, and more a short drive away. For the avid cyclist or motorcyclist we are perfectly situated on the famous Snake Pass (A57), and for the outside adventurer there are endless exciting excursions to be had nearby, including climbing, watersports and clay pigeon shooting.

We are also a great location from which to explore all the major attractions of the Peak District, such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Castleton’s wonderful caverns, Bakewell and Buxton with its famous Opera House and Pavilion.
For those wanting a taste of city life we are only a 3 minute drive from Glossop station, where trains run to Manchester every half an hour, taking just 30 minutes into the city centre. It is also an easy drive to both Manchester and Sheffield, with both journeys taking around 45 minutes.
Being close to Manchester and Sheffield, there are many options for family days in the art galleries, museums and theatres – not to mention the shopping, aquarium and Lego Land at the Trafford Centre, and even skiing at the nearby Chill Factore!
Our location is also beneficial for those needing access to Manchester International Airport, which is a simple 40 minute drive away.
